The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal
service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their
families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church,
their communities, families and young people.

As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many
benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world's
largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus
top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal
benefits.
Members are invited to
participate in a variety of tournaments at the state level in Missouri. These
tournament activities include golf, softball, horseshoes, bowling, fishing,
and more. The 140-plus members of Holy Infant Council enjoy family picnic and
swimming parties, an annual family mini-golf tournament, wife appreciation
dinner, and family Christmas party. We raise funds for charitable causes
through operating game booths at Ballwin Days, running a Family Bingo,
Knights at the Races, and Barbeques, and we sell Donuts and “Together We’re
Better” scrip. The proceeds from the annual Tootsie Roll Drive for the mentally
handicapped are given to Cardinal Glennon Childrens’ Hospital and three local institutions devoted
to helping the handicapped. Our youth programs include annual free throw,
poster, and essay contests. High on the list of programs we support are the
Pro-Life Movement and Seminarians.
Our members range in age
from 18 to 85, with a median age of 49. About one fourth of our members are
Patriotism (4th) Degree members and five are Honor Guard members.
All of our members receive and informative monthly Newsletter and a large percentage
enjoy the monthly business meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. New
members are always welcome.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in
union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic
is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the
Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of
Columbus.
For information about the
council and for membership application procedures, call DAVE DENZER at
636-391-8933 or CHUCK BESAND at 636-527-18786.

Any Third Degree member in good standing, six months after
the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth
Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of
patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to
the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth
Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Certain members of the Fourth
Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity
that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.

The Ladies Auxiliary's goals are to assist in promoting the welfare of the
Holy Infant Knights of Columbus Council, to promote charitable activities,
and to promote sociability among the members. They do this primarily by
providing help at events, creating fund raising events to support charities,
and providing activities of interest to the members. The ladies also
generally help with beautifying sites for events.
The Ladies Auxiliary at
Holy Infant was chartered September 17, 2002.

Under the guidance of Christian Brother Barnabas McDonald
(1865-1929), the first Columbian Squires circle was instituted in 1925.
Membership in the Squires is for Catholic boys between the ages of 12 and 17.
Squires' activities are many, varying from spiritual to active service for
the Church and community. Each circle elects officer members from their own
rank, teaching skills of leadership and responsibility.
Holy Infant Council
currently does not have an active Squires
Circle.
